Councillor Julie Hunt, lead member for waste and recycling, said: “We want to remind everyone that following a Bank Holiday, collections always take place a day later.

“We’re grateful for residents’ support and cooperation. Anyone who isn’t sure of their collection day can check easily online.”

Residents are asked to ensure bins and recycling boxes and bags are placed out for collection by 6am on the correct day, or the night before.
