Westward Ho! Follies are marking their 75th anniversary year with another no-holds-barred pantomime featuring a riot of laughter, song, pumpkins – and emus…?!

The Follies panto has become a firm favourite and a long-standing post Christmas tradition, with the group returning year after year to entertain with their take on the classic panto.

The next showing of this year’s offering of Cinderella at Kingsley Hall in Westward Ho!, is this Friday (February 9) at 7pm and again on Saturday, with a 2pm Sunday matinee to finish the run.

Audiences can expect song, music, laughter, Buttons, Dandini, and a couple of Ugly Sisters in the cast.

No performance of Cinderella would be complete without a fairy tale carriage, a fairy, a pumpkin… and some emus?!

While none of the original Follies members from 75 years ago are in the current production, there are members who have been involved since 1977.

Members come and perform, take a break for a year or two (or a few more) and then return again bringing along spouses, siblings and offspring to join in the fun. Previous involvement is not a requirement for performing with the Follies and new members join the cast this year.

To find out how emus fit in with the Cinderella story, book your tickets by calling Jackie on 07547 535042. When leaving a message, please include your name, number of tickets required, date of performance and a contact telephone number. It is cash only, as it is not possible to take card transactions.
