Barnstaple sexual health clinic temporary closure

Devon Sexual Health will be closing its Barnstaple sexual health clinic on Friday, November 17 for essential staff training.

The closure is necessary to facilitate the implementation of a new electronic patient record system (EPR), which will improve service efficiency.

To minimise disruption to services, anyone with routine appointments will be offered alternative times and there will be emergency information available on the closure days.

This is a busy time for the Barnstaple sexual health service team, and the staff ask for your patience.

If you need to book a non-urgent appointment, please be aware the telephone lines will also be extremely busy on Monday, November 20 and so it may be worth waiting until later in the week.

A key benefit of the new system will be the introduction of a new Personal Health Record (PHR), which will enable patients to book and manage their appointments at the Barnstaple clinic online.
