After five successful events in five months, the Royal Devon nursing careers roadshow is heading to North Devon District Hospital on Saturday, October 7. The events have so far led to many qualified nurses joining the Trust with a fantastic range of skills and backgrounds.

Whether you’re interested in an acute or community nursing role, you’ll be supported with funded training and development to progress your career. As a registered nurse you’ll make a difference treating a diverse range of conditions and patient groups, increasing your clinical experience and skills, with no two days the same.

Angela Kelly, a Clinical Matron for Medicine, at Royal Devon in Barnstaple shared: “I believe we make a real difference to people’s lives. Working for the NHS and treating people is one of the most rewarding opportunities.”

Student nurses, registered nurses and return to practice nurses are invited to attend the nursing careers event where they will have the chance to take a tour of the hospital, talk to members of the different teams, learn about career development and training including return to practice support, discover the different role options available and even have an interview for community roles.

Jane Cawthorn-Weaver, a Clinical Matron in the community team at the Royal Devon said: “It’s a real privilege to care for patients in their homes and help them stay fit and healthy. There are lots of development opportunities for both clinical and management skills, including the specialist practice qualification.”

The Royal Devon Nursing careers event will be at North Devon District Hospital, Seamoor Unit, Raleigh Heights, Barnstaple, EX31 4JB on Saturday 7 October from 9am -12pm. For more details visit the dedicated events page: https://bit.ly/RD_CommunityEvents
