Bideford Music Day is being MOVED to from Saturday, August 5, to Sunday, August 6.

The move has been taken because of an amber weather warning and the high speed winds that are forecast for Saturday.

With wind speeds set to reach 50 mph the forecast is just too dangerous for the event to take place. Lucy Lowe, organising, said: "The safety of public and participants in the event is our primary concern. This is not a decision that has been taken lightly; we are currently busy contacting musicians, Stallholders and staff and getting everything organised for the event on Sunday.

"Please bare with us - we will be posting updates on the Bideford Music Day Facebook Page as we have them. We thank everyone for their patience as we get through the planning stages - we still have a fantastic line up of live music, many of the acts from the Saturday are still joining us on Sunday.

"The music workshops are free to attend - including singing workshops with Kathy Hurrell of Carry on Choir at 1pm and 3pm, and Ukele Workshops with Paul Clews at 2pm and 4pm."

Sunday’s forecast is looking better and festival organisers hope that everyone can still join them for an amazing day of live music and workshops. The event will see participants from the workshops take to the stage and perform to a live audience - some for the first time.

The event will begin with the RainBo Colour Fun Run. The run registration starts at 10:30 at the side of the main stage - at 11am runners will make their way around the park and will be covered in paint - all the colours of the rainbow!

Tickets for this event are available on Eventbrite.
