Man in 20s dies after North Devon Link Road crash

The road was closed for around eight hours to allow for scene investigation

A man in his 20s has died after a crash on the North Devon Link Road yesterday (July 26).

Police were called at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, July 26, after reports of a collision on the North Devon Link Road at Loxbeare near Tiverton.

The collision involved a brown Mercedes long wheel-based sprinter van and a white and green articulated lorry.

The driver of the Mercedes van, who is a man in his 20’s from the Bristol area, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the lorry was uninjured.

The road was closed for around eight hours to allow for scene investigation to take place.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
