POLICE in South Molton have launched a murder inquiry following a double stabbing in the town last night (Friday).
Luke Alexander, 21, died from his wounds following the incident in Barnstaple Street in the early hours of this morning.
Luke and another man were both taken to North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple with stab wounds. The second man - understood to be Luke's twin brother Mark - remains in hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life threatening, according to police.
Earlier this afternoon, police arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the stabbing.

The suspect is being held at Barnstaple Custody Centre, where he remains awaiting questioning.
Police have confirmed that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

Officers are investigating and have appealed for witnesses.
