The polls have closed in the local elections for North Devon and Torridge – and we want to know who you voted for.

Polling stations were open from 7am-10pm today (Thursday, May 2) and now the work to count the votes will begin.

North Devon Council will be counting for the district seats overnight, and Torridge District Council’s count will take place tomorrow (Friday).

The Gazette will be reporting the results live from each count.

A total of 42 councillors will be elected to North Devon Council. However, the Chittlehampton district ward election has been delayed until Thursday, June 13 following the death of Councillor Walter White.

There will be 36 councillors elected to Torridge District Council.
