A fun run in memory of a Bideford woman has raised £1,800 for charity. The 5k Fun Run for Lisa was held at Westward Ho! by her family as a tribute to Lisa Pilkington on what would have been her 28th birthday and to raise money for Epilepsy Action. Lisa lost her life to epilepsy and her dad Adrian Roach and step mum Gemma Hudson were keen to host the event in her honour and to raise awareness of the killer condition. Around 80 runners and walkers took part in the run along the beach, followed by an event and raffle afterwards at The Village Inn. Gemma said: It was a lovely atmosphere, everybody was in high spirits and the weather was good to make it a perfect day. Being on Lisas birthday it made it more emotional but we thought it was a really nice tribute to her. Thank you to everybody that helped make it possible, took part, bought raffle tickets or donated prizes.
