Two people were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle collision near Rackenford on Saturday.

Police are appealing for witnesses after two people suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision near Rackenford.

The two-vehicle collision happend on an unclassified road at Batsworthy Cross on Saturday, at around 1.40pm.

It involved a black Seat Ibiza and a silver Land Rover Freelander.

The Seat driver, a woman from the Midlands, and a male passenger both suffered serious life-threatening injuries and were taken to Derriford Hospital and North Devon District Hospital.

The driver of the Land Rover, a man from Exeter, received non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the weather at the time of the collision was clear, dry and cold.
