THE Liberal Democrats ran away with the election in the Hartland and Bradworthy ward for a seat on Torridge District Council.Lib Dem candidate Brian Redwood polled 786 votes, to beat Local Conservative Simon Goaman with 317 votes into second place.United Kingdom Independence Party candidate Robin Julian came third with 103 votes and Independent Clifford Pryor polled 33 votes. The turnout was 51 per cent.Mr Redwood takes the place of veteran councillor Bill Pillman, who died last year.
