AN all singing, dancing and comedy charity extravaganza comes to Ilfracombe on Saturday following the success of a last ear's tribute show to much-loved dance teacher Betty Blackmore.The Big Variety Show follows the massive success of For Auntie Betty, With Love... and is once again being produced by her grandson, Mark Weeks, who is continuing Betty's work for local charities.After raising £7,000 for the North Devon Hospice last year, this time there will be two performances, a 2.30pm matinee and another at 7pm, with proceeds going to Barnstaple-based Amigos charity, which helps orphans in Uganda.The Big Variety Show will include dance and large chorus numbers from the Auntie Betty Dancers plus children from the Rebecca Varley Dance Academy, as well as comedy and illusions from local magicians Jane and Dave Williams, assisted by Debbie Hadley, and treats from Ilfracombe Rugby Club.Guest acts Roberts and Ashcroft, female comedy, vocal and instrumental duo and London based dancers from the Performers College Essex will also feature.There should be something for all ages to enjoy and it is rumoured tickets are already selling fast!
