BARNSTAPLE will be getting a week-long spring clean when local people break out the bin bags for the second-ever "Tidy Up Our Town" event later this month.Councillors, schoolchildren, residents, businesses and the police will be blitzing a number of sites in the town during a week of litter picks from Monday, April 20.The campaign will be officially launched at the Guildhall by the Mayor, Cllr Jeremy Phillips, and Cllr Rod Hawes, chairman of Barnstaple Town Council's environment committee.
