THE weather may be dreadful, but there is always a good book for comfort.Devon County Council reports today (Friday) that the only libraries to have been hit by the bad weather are those in Lynton, Chagford and Tiverton.Most mobile libraries, however, are off the road. Exceptions are those in the South hams and Teignbridge. Anyone wanting to visit their local library, however, are advised to still check that it is open with the Customer Service Centre on 0845 155001 before they leave home.Customers are also advised that overdue book payments will be waived under the present circumstances.A list of library closures will be appearing on the website www.devon.gov.uk and will be regularly updated.
