Telehandler was destroyed in the fire this morning (Thursday) which also damaged tractor, trailer and large hay bales.

Fire fighters were called out in the early hours of this morning (Thursday) to a large vehicle fire in Leworthy.

Crews from Combe Martin and Barnstaple raced to the farm near Bratton Fleming at 1.30am to find a telehandler well alight.

They quickly got to work fighting the blaze wearing breathing apparatus and using three jets.

Despite their efforts, the telehandler was destroyed by the fire and damage was also caused to six hay bales, a tractor and a trailer.

Fire fighters believe the cause of the fire was accidental.
