The A386 is currently closed between Torrington and Weare Giffard due to a landslide. It is understood five large trees were brought down in the slide at Beam Quarry. Devon County Councils highways team are on site currently trying to move the debris, while a diversion for traffic is in place. Hugh Griffith, highways operations control manager, said on Twitter: A386 Beam Quarry closure a 30ton bank slip has brought down 5 large trees, 3 cut up & moved, digger starting to move soil/stone #devonlaert.
