Police are appealing for any information which may help catch two offenders.

Police are appealing to the public after a 92-year-old woman was robbed while in her Landkey home.

The distraction burglary took place between 7 and 7.30pm on Saturday October 28 in Blakeshill Road.

The victim discovered two men in her home who stole around £200 in cash and the woman's brown handbag.

The offenders are both described as white men with skinny faces, wearing coats with the hoods up.

Police believe the incident is an isolated one, but have urged people to regularly check their neighbourhoods and are appealing for any information which may identify the offenders.

Detective Sergeant Steve Bates of Barnstaple CID said: "We would like to appeal to the public for help in identifying the offenders.

"This appears to be an isolated incident however we would like to remind the public to remain vigilant especially as the dark nights are upon us.

"We have increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance, but we ask people to regularly check on their neighbours and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police."
