TORRIDGE children took part in a creative and crafts day at the Burton Art Gallery in Bideford as part of the district council's half-term sports and events programme.James Jarroudi and crafts tutor Jo Cole taught them how to make paper butterflies, flowers and vases using recycled juice cartons and scrap paper - in plenty of time for Mother's Day.Jo said: "The children were an absolute delight to teach, enthusiastic, receptive and the quality of their creations was amazing!" James added: "This culture and leisure day was really enjoyable. The children threw themselves into both the physical activities in the park in the morning and the craft aspects in the afternoon. All of them can be proud of the way they conducted themselves and with the outcome of their crafts."For information about further Torridge sports programmes contact the culture and leisure team on (01237) 428737.
