The night will mark the official start of one man’s journey building up to a Land’s End to John O’Groats skate.

A BARNSTAPLE teaching assistant's mission to skate from Land's End to John O'Groats is being officially launched tomorrow (Thurs).

Last year the Gazette revealed how Andy Norman, who works at Lampard Community School, planned to long-boarding the length of the UK for charity.

Mr Norman hopes his Kickpush 2014 campaign will raise £10,000 to split between Asthma UK and the A Skate Foundation.

He plans to undertake the three-four week challenge in August 2014 and the launch party will mark the start of a year of fundraising skates ahead of the final push.

Those wishing to support Kickpush 2014 can enjoy live music from iFunk, Steve 'Bear Man' Beardsley on the decks and beat-boxing from Rouge at Lilicos tomorrow.

The event will kick off from 8pm with a fundraising raffle during the evening.
