THE people of Fremington are invited to gather around the community Christmas tree at the village green on Friday for the switching on of the festive lights.
The event begins at 6pm and will feature North Devon Pipes and Drums plus carols before the big switch on.
Everyone is invited back to the Fox and Hounds afterwards from 6.30-8pm for mulled wine, mince pies and tuck shop sweets for the children.
At 8pm there will be free live music by Simon Grant.
