Jeremy Corbyn will be visiting Barnstaple on Thursday, October 26. The Labour leader will be appearing on stage at The Factory in Roundswell as part of a fundraising event organised by the North Devon Labour Party. Staunch Labour supporter, singer and songwriter Billy Bragg will be appearing together with local musicians Amy Newton and Jim Jones. Admission will be by advance ticket only and the event starts at 7pm. Tickets are available to the public from 10am tomorrow (Tuesday). Ian Crawford, North Devon Labour spokesman said: Jeremys visit to North Devon is recognition of the advances Labour is making in the South West. Labours membership here is approaching 1,000 members and Labour is now the second party of choice across Devon, as seen in the recent general election result in Torridge and West Devon, where Labour came second to the Tories. Labours vote doubled here in North Devon as voters increasingly are turning to Labour as the only party who can pose a serious alternative to the Tories. Tickets are on sale from 10am Tuesday.
