Jasmin will be carnival queen on Barnstaple’s big day

Park School teenager lands special role at head of procession.

Park Community School pupil Jasmin Husband has been chosen to lead Barnstaple Carnival on September 19. Jasmin, 15, volunteers in North Devon Hospice shops and performs with North Devon All Starz.

She will be crowned alongside princesses Donna Barton, aged nine, from Fremington Community Primary, and Tilly-Lee Brown, aged seven, from Ashleigh Primary.

They were chosen by the town’s carnival committee at a special selection event at the Barnstaple Hotel on July 16.
