APPLEDORE will get top billing with one of the world's most famous families as part of a Channel 4 Cutting Edge special next Thursday night.Television programme, The Jacksons Are Coming, is set to give a fascinating insight into this summer's North Devon visit by family members of pop icon Michael Jackson.The show promises to provide an intimate snapshot of one of the world's most famous families in showbiz.Channel 4 spokesperson, Nikki OShea, said the programme was a "revealing film about celebrity life"."Film-maker Jane Preston gained unprecedented access as she follows assorted members of the family as they leave Hayvenhurst, the family enclave in LA, to search for a home in Appledore, a fishing village on the North Devon coast," said a press release."How do the folk of Appledore cope with their new famous neighbours and the world's media?"In May, the visit made global headlines when Jackson Five legends, brothers Jackie and Tito, arrived in Appledore with mother Katherine, Tito's son Taj, Jackie's son Siggy, Tito's friend Claudia Lynx and cousin Trent Jackson.The family stayed in rented accommodation on Staddon Road and were spotted out and about enjoying a Hockings ice cream on Appledore Quay, shopping on Barnstaple High Street, and tucking into fish and chip as Squires fish shop in Braunton. Family members visited children at the Children's Hospice South West in Fremington and at Forches Primary School, while searching for a holiday home.The programme, produced by Studio Lambert and commissioned by Channel 4, airs next Thursday night at 9pm.
