Ill-fated skatepark back on the agenda

South Molton Town Council to re-open discussions on park’s future

SOUTH Molton Councillors are set to re-open discussions on the future of the town’s skatepark at a meeting tonight (Tuesday).

The park has faced considerable funding and management issues since it opened in 2005 and threat of demolition has been made by those responsible for the park.

The town’s not-for-profit Community Company, which leases the land from the town council, has already asked members to consider taking ownership of the park, with no success.

The town clerk will report further on the matter at tonight’s meeting.
