One arrested, two cautioned after ‘disruption day’ in the town centre.

A woman was arrested for theft and two warned for possessing cannabis during a plain clothes police operation in Ilfracombe on Tuesday.

Police carried out a number of stop searches, with a 21-year-old man and another individual receiving cannabis warnings.

A woman aged 27 recognised by police was also arrested on suspicion of theft and later charged with stealing food from the Co-operative store.

Town centre beat manager PC Dave Thubron said similar disruptive operations would be repeated, as their business was about making Ilfracombe as uncomfortable for criminals as possible.
