THE six week trial of a new park and ride service in Ilfracombe has been so well received that it has been extended for a further two weeks until Friday, September 17.
The service stops at car parks and bus stops around the town and has been paid for by Devon County Council, Ilfracombe Town Council, Transform and the Joint Delivery Team from North Devon Plus.
The 1.60 cost proved a hit with passengers and on average 157 people per day have used the service - the original target was 100 passengers a day.
The extra two weeks will see if demand holds up and by how much, after the school holidays.
