A 31-year-old has been charged with causing the death of Ilfracombe’s Natalie Jones after fatal collision last August.

A man has been charged in connection with the death of an Ilfracombe woman in a fatal collision.

Richard Brettle, 31, of Ilfracombe, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Natalie Jones, 26, was a passenger in the BMW which was in collision with a Toyota Yaris on the A361 at Knowle on August 21 last year.

The female driver of the Toyota, a 40-year-old Ilfracombe woman, sustained serious injuries.

Brettle has also been charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property – money laundering.

He has been bailed to appear at North Devon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 3.
