Ilfracombe home burgled while occupants slept

Police appeal after burglar entered home in Ilfracombe on New Year’s Day and made off with a ‘substantial’ amount of cash.
A ‘substantial’ amount of cash was stolen from a home in Ilfracombe while the occupants were sleeping.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the burglary in Horne Park Road between 1am and 7.15am on New Year’s Day.
The offender entered the property through an insecure front door, searched the downstairs of the hoouse and then fled with the cash.
Police officers have carried out house to house enquiries in the area and are keen to speak to anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time or has any information that could assist with the investigation.
