Thieves have stolen gold and silver coins from an address in Belmont Road, Ilfracombe

Valuable coins worth more than £10,000 have been stolen from an address in Ilfracombe.

Police said the burglary happened between Thursday and Friday, October 12-13 in Belmont Road.

The thieves took three high value precious metal coins, including a 2017 United Kingdom Unicorn of Scotland five ounce gold coin valued at £9,999.

They also took a new 100th anniversary of the House of Windsor solid gold coin valued at £295.

The third coin was a Queen's Beasts 202 fine silver £5 Dragon Jubilee coin valued at £95.
