Don’t miss Ilfracombe Carnival parade on Thursday at 7pm.

A new Carnival Queen is ready to lead out the parade at Ilfracombe Carnival on Thursday evening.

Angela King, plus attendants Flora Braund and Charley Brocklesby were chosen by a panel at Rescue Day, of the Mayor, Councillor Lynda Courtnadge, town crier Roy Goodwin, Hopps from The Voice FM and carnival committee member June Williams.

“This was a really difficult decision,” said Mrs Courtnadge, “the standard of entrants was excellent and I wish we could have chosen them all.”

There is still time to enter the carnival parade, which assembles at Brimlands by the swimming pool from 6pm, before moving off at 7. Entry forms are available from Alan Jackson Shoes Repairs and Tinker tailor Party Shop in the High Street, or Ilfracombe TIC at the Landmark. For more information visit www.visitilfracombe.co.uk.
