Chemo Appeal fundraising manager takes on eight-week slim down to raise hundreds of pounds for the charity.
The Chemotherapy Appeal’s fundraising manager has successfully shed more than two-and-a-half stone in two months to raise money for the charity.
Former Barnstaple mayor Ian Roome has lost 2.8 stone and 11 inches in eight weeks, working with personal trainer Steve Sanger of Reform Training Nutrition Health in Barnstaple.
Ian has raised more than £300 but hopes with donations still coming in, he could reach £500.
He said: “I have personally tried many other options to lose weight and attended certain fat loss groups but I must say nothing has worked more than going to see Steve.
“I feel healthier and fitter, which in turn has also brought my blood pressure back within the normal range.
“This really been ‘food for thought’ and if like me you want to shed those extra pounds to feel healthier and more energised then why not do it for the Chemotherapy Appeal?
“We have all the fundraising materials to help you achieve your fundraising potential.”
