Village hall is reopened to celebrations after funding helped boost refurbishment project in Huntshaw.

Huntshaw has celebrated the opening of its newly refurbished village hall.

Lord and Lady Clinton did the honours of cutting the ribbon to declare the hall officially open once more.

Hall chairman Trevor Johns said: "90 years ago Lord Clinton gave land for the parish to build its own hall. Local farmers 'drayed' stone from local quarries with horse and butt."

The works were funded by Devon Waste Management landfill tax and by Torridge District Council.

Mr Johns thanked everyone who worked on the hall to make the refurbishment possible.

He added: "Special thanks to Don and Gill Easterbrook who took the lead with this very ambitious project."
