NORTH Devon Homes has pledged to help tackle domestic abuse.

The association is one of 17 across the South West to sign up to the Devon Housing Association's Domestic Abuse Code of Good Practice, guidelines introduced to raise awareness of domestic abuse and improve the way in which housing associations deal with the problem.

The code encourages partnership working between specialist agencies and housing associations to offer support to those affected by domestic abuse.

Lindsey Luxton, NDH neighbourhood team leader and domestic abuse 'champion', said: "North Devon Homes is committed to working with partners and customers to deal with the issue of domestic abuse.

"We are pleased to sign up to this code of good practice and hope it will lead to improvements across the South West.
