TORRIDGE and North Devon councils have joined a partnership initiative to seek answers to one of the region's biggest bones of contention: the shortage of truly affordable housing.Over the next few months, the Housing Vision Consultancy will be working with councils and housing associations along the northern part of the South West peninsula, from Bodmin to Minehead. They are asking for people to share their experiences to help them understand the problems local people are having in the housing market - and what can be done to improve the situation. If you are: a young person wanting to set up home, but can't afford to; have a young family, but nowhere to call home; or are a newcomer to the area and, perhaps, beginning to understand the difficulties local people are having, the partnership would like to hear from you.You can join an on-line discussion board by going to www.cchr.net/forum/ and adding comments. There is also the option to read what others have written. Comments can also be sent in writing to Debby Weller at at 7 Poltair Crescent, St Austell, Cornwall. PL25 4LX.
