Horse rescued from fencing near Barnstaple

Fire crews and a specialist rescue team were called out to help the animal at Deer Park Nurseries.

A HORSE had to be rescued by fire crews on Boxing Day (Thurs) after becoming trapped in a fence.

Fire fighters from Barnstaple and a special rescue team from Clyst St Mary in Exeter were called to Deer Park Nurseries in Barnstaple at around 10.50am.

The horse was calm and not in distress and fire fighters managed to release the horse using small tools from a safe distance.
