A GANG of "hoodies" are being sought by police after stealing a pet chicken from a Barnstaple home.The Maran bantam was stolen when a shed in Pilton was broken into by a group of youths. Eggs were also taken.Youths were seen the following day chasing the bird around the area.Officers are appealing for witnesses to make contact with PC Andy Greenslade at Barnstaple Police Station.The bantam is a family pet and its owner is hopeful that it may be returned or found wandering around and rescued.
