Under 18s are being encouraged to submit their designs to a Poster Design Competition to promote South Molton’s Eco Fair 2025.

Extinction Rebellion, North Devon is running the Eco Fair. It is to take place on September 14 at the South Molton Pannier Market.

The fair promotes sustainable local businesses whilst raising awareness of environmental challenges.

The following text must be included in submissions:

  • South Molton Eco Fair

Peony Knight is the Community Animator for South Molton on the Biosphere’s community project. She is supporting Extinction Rebellion, North Devon with their poster competition for the Eco Fair.

She said: “The Eco Fair is a great event, and this is a chance for young people in the area to get creative and connected. I have met lots of people, young and old, in and around South Molton who are interested and concerned about their local environment and with this and other events in the town over the summer we are hoping to give people the opportunity to build their sense of confidence that they can make a difference”.

The following top tips have been released to assist individuals with their submissions:

  • Use themes of nature, community, sustainability, and creativity
  • Make it suitable for all ages to see
  • Make the ‘South Molton Eco Fair’ text easy to read
  • Use bold colours and an eye-catching design

The winning poster will be showcased to promote this year’s fair across South Molton and beyond.

Deadline for submissions is July 15 at 4pm. Physical posters should be handed in to South Molton Library.
