Bideford residents are invited to an open event celebrating the town’s twinning with Landivisiau in Brittany.
The event, organised by Bideford Twinning Association, will take place on Saturday 22 February at Bideford Library.
It aims to encourage more people to get involved in the long-standing cultural connection between the two towns.
The “Café Breton” event will run from 10.30am to 12 noon in the library’s Juniper Room, featuring Breton snacks, music, and information on previous twinning activities.
Bideford Twinning Chair Carol Bertie said: “Bideford and Landivisiau Twinning Associations have been building bridges between our two communities for many years. We have had annual visits, special events to foster friendships between people in Bideford and our Breton cousins.
“As we approach the 50th anniversary of our links, we are keen to involve even more people in the twinning. It is a chance to find out about life in Brittany, visit the beautiful region, enjoy delicious French food, wine and cider and – most importantly – make friends.”
The event is free and open to all in the Bideford area.
