Members of the public are invited to take a moment to remember their loved one at a special event in Abbotsham next week.
Kenwith Castle care home and the wider care village will host the annual Candles on the Lake event in partnership with North Devon Hospice on Friday 17 January 2025 from 4pm to 6pm.
This is the second year that Kenwith Castle has hosted Candles on the Lake.
For a taster of last year’s event, head to care-south.co.uk to watch a highlights video.
The event is open to the public, local carers who work in and around Bideford, as well as residents and their families from Kenwith Castle, as well as Fremington Manor care home near Barnstable.
Both care homes are part of the not-for-profit charity, Care South.
It will also be attended by the residents of the Kenwith Castle Gardens and Kenwith Meadows assisted living bungalows based in the care village.
There is no need to book for the free-entry event as visitors can just turn up on the day.
All donations from the event will go to North Devon Hospice, which provides specialist care support to people with life-limiting conditions.
Event attendees will be invited to sponsor a candle in memory of a loved one.
After releasing a candle onto the lake, the whole family can enjoy a complimentary hot drink and a light bite while listening to live music.
