The UK’s largest celebration for queer women and non-binary people is returning to North Devon from 13–16 June near Bideford.

Founded by LGBTQIA+ campaigner Polly Shute, the event has grown significantly since its launch, now offering an expanded lineup of activities including wild swimming, wellness workshops, music, and comedy.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to unveil our new home for the Out & Wild Festival,” says Polly Shute, Co-Founder of the festival.

“The Devon location is just perfect for our focus on wellness, outdoors and connections. Our research tells us that the community is looking for spaces to celebrate their identity that move beyond the usual crowded streets and over-drinking. And we know that Pride is so important in rural communities.”

The event, now in its fourth year, will take place at a private outdoor venue just a 30-minute walk from the sea, with on-site accommodation options and exciting new activities like surfing excursions and mountain boarding.

Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities throughout the weekend, including:

  • Wellness and fitness classes, such as yoga, forest bathing, and circuit training
  • Daily group sports, including football, volleyball, and surfing
  • Spoken word performances and talks from award-winning queer authors and influencers
  • A range of food and drink options, including vegan and gluten-free meals, plus three bars and a pop-up coffee van
  • Evening entertainment, with live music, comedy, silent DJ sets, and fire-pit singalongs

Tickets for the event are available now, with more information on the festival's website: https://www.outandwild.co.uk/book-tickets
