The big clean up: know your waste dates

Residents in Torridge and North Devon are being reminded of changes to bin collection schedules over the festive period. Both councils have issued revised timetables to ensure waste and recycling services continue smoothly during Christmas and New Year.

Torridge District Council

For those living within the Torridge District Council boundary, the following changes will apply:

  • Thursday 26 December: Black bin collections will take place as normal, but there will be no recycling collection.
  • Friday 27 December to Tuesday 31 December: Normal collection for both black bins and recycling.
  • Wednesday 1 January to Friday 3 January: Collections will run one day late for both black bins and recycling.

Normal collections will resume from Monday 6 January 2025.

North Devon Council

For residents within the North Devon Council boundary, the schedule is as follows:

Residents are encouraged to check their local council’s website for further details and ensure bins are placed out on the correct day during the revised schedule.
