In a move aimed at enhancing road safety, new speed cameras have been installed on Clovelly Road in Bideford.
Devon & Cornwall Police have announced that the cameras, which became operational this week, will monitor traffic 24/7 in both directions.
The installation of the cameras follows a request from the Devon County Council Road Safety Team.
After thorough discussions between the police and the council, the decision was made to place the cameras at the location to address ongoing speed-related concerns.
Devon & Cornwall Police confirmed that the cameras were installed as part of a broader initiative to reduce speeding and improve safety on the roads.
The enforcement of these cameras will ensure that drivers adhere to speed limits, particularly in areas where previous data indicated a high incidence of speed-related incidents.
Devon & Cornwall Police have confirmed that the cameras are now in operation.
