Atlantic Racquet Centre (ARC) in Bideford will be inviting families and sports enthusiasts alike to join them for a special Family Open Day this coming July.

Scheduled for Saturday, July 6, from 12.30pm to 5pm, this event promises a day packed with fun-filled activities for all ages.

Located at Caddsdown Industrial Estate, ARC will open its doors to showcase its recently upgraded facilities, including two new badminton courts and a state-of-the-art Gym & Fitness Centre.

The day's festivities will feature an array of racquet sports such as tennis, badminton, squash, racketball, and more, spanning both indoor and outdoor courts.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in complimentary coaching sessions led by ARC's team of coaches, ensuring that everyone, from beginners to seasoned players, can enjoy and improve their skills.

For younger visitors, a Kids’ Activity Camp will provide entertainment and engagement throughout the event.

In addition to sporting activities, the Open Day will include a BBQ and refreshments, creating a vibrant atmosphere where families can relax and socialise.

All necessary equipment will be provided free of charge, making it easier for everyone to participate in the day's offerings.

ARC aims to foster a sense of community through accessible sports and recreational opportunities.

As part of their commitment, they are offering a special promotion for new members who sign up on the day: a 50 percent discount on the first three months of membership, starting from only £10 for a family of four.

Tom Vinall, ARC General Manager, said: “We want to make sure that everyone feels welcome at ARC. Events like our Family Open Day enable us to open our doors and showcase what we’ve got to offer, and how far we’ve come since we opened in 2015. Community is  at the heart of everything we do, and that means making sure that what ARC offers is affordable and accessible for everyone.”
