Cast of Mumms the Word at the Barnstaple Fringe Theatrefest 2024
Pilton Theatre Productions, commonly known as Pilton Panto, will make their debut at the Barnstaple Fringe Theatrefest 2024.
This marks the first time the long-running community theatre group will perform outdoors, taking to the grass on Castle Green.
The performances will feature a specially written show that explores the history of Pilton and Barnstaple.
Pilton Panto, recognised for their engaging and comedic pantomimes, has created this new production specifically for the Theatrefest.
The show offers a whistle-stop tour of the intertwined histories of Pilton, the oldest part of the town, and Barnstaple, its historically significant counterpart.
Performances are scheduled for Saturday, June 29 at 1pm and Sunday, June 30 at 12pm and 2.30pm.
Additionally, there may be a preview on Friday, June 28 at 7pm at Pilton Infants’ School.
This new venture into outdoor theatre represents a significant milestone for Pilton Panto, adding a fresh challenge to their repertoire.
The group is excited about this opportunity to perform in a new setting and to share their comedic storytelling with a broader audience.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to attend and enjoy this historical tribute and theatrical celebration.
