Fatal collision near Rackenford claims life of motorcyclist

Devon & Cornwall Police are reaching out to the public for assistance after a serious collision.

The incident, which occurred at Batsworthy Cross on Saturday, April 20 resulted in the loss of a motorcyclist's life.

The collision involved a silver VW Golf and a Triumph motorcycle, with the motorcyclist, a 34-year-old male from London, tragically losing his life at the scene.
The driver of the VW Golf, a 20-year-old male from Exeter, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Derriford Hospital, while a passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.

Local law enforcement, supported by officers from the Roads Policing Team, swiftly responded to the scene and conducted a thorough forensic examination.

Now, they are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has relevant information, including dash cam or CCTV footage from the area, to come forward.

Individuals with information are urged to contact the Police on 101, quoting log number 357 of 20/4/24.
