North Devon Hospice is calling on the community to support its annual Big Breakfast fundraiser, aiming to raise crucial funds for local patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses.

Scheduled for Friday, March 15, from 8.30am to 10.30am at the Terrace Café, the event welcomes supporters to enjoy a delicious breakfast in exchange for a donation.

The cafe can be found at Deer Park (EX320HU).

With various tasty breakfast items on offer, attendees can gather with family, friends, colleagues, or neighbours to contribute to the cause.

Proceeds from this and other Big Breakfast events throughout the year will aid the hospice in providing vital end-of-life care, especially significant in its 40th anniversary year.

Becky Brennan, Community Fundraiser at North Devon Hospice, has anticipated this year's Big Breakfast to be the largest yet.

"If you haven’t taken part in Big Breakfast before, we’d love you to join us this year!" said Becky. "There’s always such a lovely atmosphere at our Big Breakfast events, and to see people take some time to enjoy the most important meal of the day together in aid of a fantastic cause is just wonderful. Whether you come along to our hospice Big Breakfast, attend one near you, or host your own, every pound raised will help make a real difference to local families in our care."

Supporting the campaign, Saunton Golf Club will host its own foodie fundraiser on Friday, March 1, from 8am to 12pm.

Liz Cann, Deputy General Manager at Saunton Golf Club, expressed delight in supporting North Devon Hospice.

"It’s a highlight in our diary where members and visitors come along and enjoy a delicious breakfast and get to meet friends old and new. There’s no need to book, so pop down and join us to show your support for this brilliant local charity," Liz said.
