Pointless Beauty will be at The Beaver on Monday, February 19
North Devon Jazz Club at The Beaver in Appledore, is gearing up for a night of musical magic on Monday, February 19.
Pointless Beauty, a quartet renowned for their fusion of jazz, eastern influences, and rock, will take the stage to enthral attendees with their unique sound.
Led by the accomplished bass player Al Swainger, Pointless Beauty's lineup features trumpeter Gary Alesbrook, pianist Gary Bamford, and drummer Jon Clark.
Together, they promise an evening of ‘gentle strengths and spiritual uplift’, as described by Rockin' Art Magazine.
Al Swainger, with his impressive track record as a band leader, sideman, and educator, brings a wealth of experience to the performance.
Recognised with multiple fifth-place awards in the British Jazz Awards, Mr Swainger's musical prowess spans across genres, blending elements of jazz, rock, funk, and Latin into their repertoire.
Joining Al Swainger on stage is trumpeter Gary Alesbrook, whose extensive resume includes collaborations with renowned artists such as Noel Gallagher, Scissor Sisters, and Rag'N'Bone Man.
The gig starts at 8.30pm and entry is free but a collection is taken for the band during the evening.
