North Devon Hospice invites businesses to participate in their '40 for Forty Business Club' to help mark the charity’s 40th anniversary

The charity have created an exciting new business initiative to commemorate their 40th anniversary

North Devon Hospice is inviting big-hearted businesses who want to make the ending matter
for local people to join their 40 for Forty Business Club to help mark the charity’s 40th anniversary.

The funds raised through this exciting initiative will help to ensure the hospice can continue providing vital care to local people now and in the next 40 years.

Launched earlier this month, the 40 for Forty Business Club is open to just 40 local companies, with the aim of raising £40,000 collectively to help fund vital care and support for local people facing the impacts of a life-limiting illness. Each business taking part will have a fundraising target of £1,000, which they can give as a one-off donation or raise through staff fundraising activities throughout the year.

Claire Paine, Business Relationships Manager at North Devon Hospice said: “We’re so excited to have launched our 40 for Forty Business Club to mark a very special year here at North Devon Hospice. For local companies, not only is this a fantastic chance to get your staff together for some team-led fundraising but it’s also a wonderful way to show your support for local families facing their toughest times. Together, we can protect hospice care for the future. Thanks to businesses like you, we can be there for those in their darkest hour, time after time.”

Bray Leino, SWM & Waste Recycling and Private Collection are just three of the several local businesses that have already joined the 40 for Forty Business Club to help raise vital funds for the hospice in its 40th year.

Kate Cox, Chief Executive at Bray Leino said: “In 2024, in addition to our usual annual support of North Devon Hospice, we are proudly supporting the ‘40 for Forty’ campaign to celebrate their 40 th  year and to raise much-needed funds. This remarkable charity has a profound impact on our community and provides vital care and support to patients and their families. By joining hands, we aim to not only express our gratitude but also inspire fellow local businesses to get involved.”
