Kevin Green has released a new single in memory of his daughter.
Westward Ho! resident Kevin Green, known by his artist name Beano Green Music, has recently launched a heartfelt charity single on various streaming platforms.
Money raised from the single will be donated to Royal Devon Hospitals Charity.
The release holds a special significance as it is dedicated to the memory of Kevin's daughter, Rachel, who passed away in March 2022.
Kevin initially conceived the idea of creating a charity single in April 2023 but decided to wait until the timing felt more appropriate. In that time, he produced a raw home recording of Eric Clapton's Tears in Heaven to capture the emotional essence he envisioned for the track.
Reflecting on the decision to release the home recording, he said the simplicity of the rendition holds a depth of emotion that might be lost in a larger production. The decision to share this personal and poignant version aims to connect with listeners on a more intimate level.
The charity single, available under the artist name Beano Green Music, is now accessible on major streaming sites. Kevin Green has committed to donate 90 per cent of all download proceeds from the track directly to a hospital charity. Encouraging the community to support the cause, he has invited everyone to share the single with friends and family.
In a touching tribute to his daughter, he reminisced about Rachel's hypothetical response, imagining her saying, "shut up dad and go away!" Nevertheless, he believes she would appreciate the effort to make a positive impact in her memory.
Listeners are encouraged to find the charity single under Beano Green Music on their preferred streaming platforms, supporting a local cause while experiencing the heartfelt tribute to Rachel Green.
