Team Clements and Team Colwill
Events for the running calendar
The New Year began with a bang for Bideford Amateur Athletic Club, as the quartet of Team Clements and Team Colwill brushed off the Christmas festivities with an excellent showing in the First Chance 10k in Exeter.
Martin Colwill completed the course in 37:40 to finish fourth in the V50 section and Steve Clements had the same placing in the V60 section, finishing in 42:53. Lorraine Clements took the glory in the V60 female race, winning with a time of 44:25 and Helen Colwill was second in V50 with a time of 45:15.
The running calendar is already filling up for 2024 and a definite highlight will be the Bideford Half Marathon on Sunday, March 10. Other dates for the schedule include the Bideford 10k on Sunday, May 12 and the Bideford 10-miler on Sunday, November 3. Full details are available on the Bideford AAC Facebook page.
